Our staff will now be at Southside Virginia Community College's John H. Daniel, Lake Country Advanced Knowledge Center (LCAKC), and Christanna Campuses every Wednesday. For assistance locating a staff member call our office at 434-394-3505.

.As part of a state-wide movement among domestic and sexual violence shelters, Southside Center for Violence Prevention, Inc. (SCVP) is creating a language access plan to help better ensure we are able to effectively reach and serve our non-English speaking clients.   For this we need volunteers who are willing to donate their time to assist staff in learning Spanish or Sign Language and assist in translating for SCVP clients.  We are also looking to contract with one language major or instructor (for which there will be a modest stipend) who can serve as our Language Access Liaison and work with us to provide input into our planning, staff training, implementation, and evaluation of our language access initiative for the school year of 2020-2021.  If you are interested in volunteering or applying for the Language Access Liaison position, please contact us at volunteer@scvpcares.org or 434-394-3505.
